St Edmund’s Hall
By Car: The College has no parking facilities for visitors, therefore we strongly recommend that you travel by public transport or use Oxford Park & Ride services, which run into the city centre from five car parks around the edge of the city. Further information about Park & Ride car parks is available on the City of Oxford website.
By Coach/Bus: The Oxford Tube and Oxford Express, run frequent coach services from London Victoria. Please ask the driver to drop you at the Queen’s Lane/High Street bus stop, which is opposite the College.
By Air: For overseas visitors, the most convenient airport for Oxford is London Heathrow. The Airline bus service offers frequent coach services from London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports. These also stop at Queen’s Lane, right by the College. Oxford is well served by National Express coach services from all over the country.
By Train: Oxford offers train connections with London, Birmingham, the South Coast and Northern England and many other parts of the country. For further information about rail travel please contact National Rail Enquiries. If arriving by train, the College is about 15-20 minutes’ walk from the station, or the number 5 bus from the station will drop you at Queen’s Lane, right outside the College.
Taxi Services in Oxford: There are a number of licensed taxi operators in Oxford: Radiotaxis (+1865 242424), ABC Taxis (+1865 770077, +1865 775577), 001 Taxis (+1865 240000) Royal Cars (+1865 777333). There is a taxi rank near Gloucester Green Bus Station and outside Oxford Train Station.
St Hilda’s College
St Hilda’s College – an affiliate college of the University of Oxford – is conveniently located in Cowley Place, only at a few minutes taxi drive from Oxford train and main bus stations and within a walking distance of the centre of the town and the St Clement’s bus stop. See below for a map:

By Air: The most convenient airport for Oxford is London Heathrow. There is frequent bus service from Heathrow to Oxford (recommended) . St. Hilda’s College is only a few minutes’ walk from St Clement’s Bus Stop. There is also a good train connection between Heathrow and Oxford. London Gatwick Airport also has a direct bus connection with Oxford. Stansted Airport route is serviced relatively less frequently.
UK Travel: There is a frequent bus service (every 8-10 minutes at peak hours) between Oxford and London operated by Oxford Bus Company and Stagecoach/The Oxford Tube. There are also bus connections with many other UK cities. There are frequent direct trains between Oxford and London and regular links with the rest of the UK. By Car: We strongly suggest that you do not travel by car unless unavoidable. A limited number of parking spaces are available at St Hilda’s College and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. If you intend to travel by car you must contact us early. You may also park your car in a number of Park & Ride car parks outside Oxford that are linked by public transport. Further information about Park & Ride car parks is available on the City of Oxford website. Oxford is accessible via A40 at junction 8/8A on M40 from London.
