We anticipate a small number of travel grants, aimed at partially assisting with airfare and accommodation from the industry to sponsor young researchers in the field of aptamers to attend Aptamers 2019 at Oxford. However, in addition to being highly-competitive, these travel grants are dependent upon the availability of sponsorship, which can be unpredictable and uncertain. Therefore, we strongly advise that you also explore alternative sources to fund your attendance.

Application and eligibility criteria:
1-You must be a member of the International Society on Aptamers (Apply for membership – it’s free)
2-You must be a registered delegate of the symposium (Aptamers 2019).
3-You must be an advanced graduate student or a postdoc within two years of your PhD.
4-You must be able to demonstrate interest in Aptamers, eg, by publication in a peer-reviewed journal or by your thesis research topic/abstract.
5-You must be presenting a poster or an oral talk at the symposium.
Application procedure:
2-Submit your abstract, brief CV (single page, one-sided) and student ID at the time of registration.
3-Your abstract and CV will be reviewed by members of the symposium committee and the INSOAP advisory board.
4-Selected candidates will be informed and their CV(s) will be passed on to potential sponsors.
5-The application deadline is 20 January 2019.
Invitation to submit an article to the journal AptamersWe invite you to submit your research to the journal Aptamers (ISSN: 2514-3247), which is a new official open-access journal of the International Society on Aptamers, dedicated to publishing peer-reviewed research and reviews on all aspects of aptamer research.
We are happy to waive basic open access publication fee for Aptamers 2019 attendees until 30 September 2019, as long as the manuscripts are prepared according to the guidelines for authors.
